Two card's I have entered for Homework with Barbara Gray the Hares and toadstools go so well with Puck. With the bottom card  I Played around a bit with the ferns till I got the look I wanted think next time I play I will ink the leaves in bottle green....the black for me is to dark and I really don't like Black. I  will have a play in a few days and try the bottle green if I am happier I will post it here.  If not it will go the way of many others in the bin!

I have some news.....I have been asked by my Mother In Law if I would like to do a demonstration at her local Salle de Fete's over in the Vendee region of France so I am hoping to take Clarity overseas. Hope Barbara Approves! It will be a English craft fair of all sorts of things from Chutney to Knitting Quilt making Ironmongery all in all so far there are 85 stalls so I have no idea what to expect there could be 3 people there or 33 or 3003! with a good mix of French and English.  Ohh errr! how did I get talked into this one? It's not till Sept so I will have plenty of time to practice and feel sick!

Hope you are all enjoying some sunshine....or did we blink and miss it!
Crafty hug's and thank you for looking. xxx B

My word it's June already where does the time go? I hope this find's you all well and hopefully the good weather will have arrived and we will be able to put the raincoats ans wellies away! this months offering Is a wedding card dedicated to a dear friend who when I said I may do the doves said she could only see it as a Christmas card.....well here to prove how versatile it is, is a Wedding Card. In Pink as I used the same colour last month and wanted to use it up.....Easy make this Simply Heat emboss I used Personal Impressions Sea foam as I know this sounds daft but it's not too white.....on Pink Pearl cardstock then coloured in with two promarker's one was cocktail pink and the other was pink carnation blend the two with a blender....two ribbons white and pink mat and layer and job Nearly done the only thing you have to be careful off with this card is the sentiment
As the card you are using is coated pearl card like the Clarity card it needs a little TLC so what I recommend is using a versamark inkpad ink up the to have and to hold and from this day forward but before you plot the stamp on the card blot them on a bit of scrap paper....it makes the stamp less slippy and easier to plot! the emboss in white and there you have it one wedding card I hope you like my offering this month....Thank you for looking .

Windmills Homework cards

Just a few cards I have sent in I thought you may like to see.... I have been asked how I did the sky for the Life Is A Journey card ....All it is is Adirondack ink pads in Butterscotch Cranberry and Stonewashed. My Ink duster brushes and some torn paper.... Stamp the lovers in the boat where you would like them,  Then mask off both your moon and reflection. Then starting with Juniper take a little in the brush and swirl it in a scrap piece of A4 copy paper and brush over the card to  put in your water I used Juniper and Stonewashed.... then add the fields, which are done in Lettuce. Add the windmill and the grass/reeds. Using a ripped bit sheet of A4 I then covered the fields., and starting with the butter scotch started to put in the sky the trick is do not use straight lines...or that is what you will get.  I did not swirl in straight lines....make some bits more one colour then another add and blend Butterscotch with Cranberry to make a nice orange hue then last of all add the Stonewashed Blue making this darker at the upper corners....

The Wedgewood is just very simple cut out from the Cricut Art Nouveau cartridge and inked in Versamark heat embossed in Sea foam white powder from Personal Impressions.  I used The Vine, Laurels leaves. and the Windmill.the edge is the vine in Denim Adirondack.

The bottom card is just basic stamping....Lettuce for the bottom Grass again using Ink dusters/Brushes, then over stamped with the Flamingo grass...Sky was added with a cloud mask from Clarity if you haven't got these already the question has to be asked why? They make life so much easier. The middle is coated clarity card Stamped with the large postage stamp the Windmill added and the sky and grass added as before with the ink dusters then cut out....NO Brayering.....I do love the brayer but today was all about time....and to a large extent Rory who I do Love dearly. XXX  :)  But Rory and craft do not go well together. My monkey thinks its a hoot to change the tops of all my inkpads so I am forever checking. OK Except when I forget then the air turns a little blue. Thank you for reading.  Have a lovely day xxx

Clarity South West

What have we been up too well last Thursday we had our fourth workshop and I'm pleased to report it all seems to be going rather well....lots of inky mess and lots of happy peeps who are showing real improvement over the short time we have been together. I think having a workshop forces people to concentrate without the phone keep going or the children shouting MUMMMMMMMM!
This month we looked at backgrounds and using Versamark to help us make them using bubble wrap and stamps. Here are a few photos of what we did.

                                                                         Margaret

Well there you are, when you think some of my ladies had never picked up a brayer before they came to our workshop...I think they are all doing pretty well don't you?....and whats next?. Well I am going to a workshop with Barbara Gray at Cowden in Kent from 21st to 24th and hopefully will be able to impart what I have learned to everyone when I come back. Hope you enjoyed the photo's.
Have a great day all.

Clarity Challenge 3 Sentiment.

I like THE ROSE. Such a lovely stamp and my favorite of all the rose's is the Peace Rose the yellow pinks and oranges and all the variations in between...using the pointillism effect for the Peace roses was a happy accident as I was playing one day waiting for another project to dry...the mind wonders and this card was born the peace stamp is from the Christmas Bauble set.  And Be the Change You want to see in the World. is another  favorite quote ....all I have done is used the water brush technique to drag the Ink out of the first generation stamped roses and mask and stamped the others to create a bit of depth the center of the card is a spellbinders cut which I then put to one side to use on another project. I then cut a Pink card stamped it and placed it in the gap inside the card stuck the Peace Roses on and there it is.
I do hope you like it. xx
