May! What a very busy Month

I love May I think it's my favourite month of the year  spring and the longer evenings, warmer weather, I seem to have had card making fever and not just cards either! have been making a project for hobby art but that will be revealed on June 6th! .....not giving anything else away you will have to watch this space.
So on to May's cards I have been a bit naughty .....just a teeny tiny bit !

Opps ! They just fell in to my basket.

With that I set about making a few cards with these and a few other Visible Image stamps I already had. I added with a Splodge Away stencil and came up with this card.

With my South West Arty Crafter's Workshop in mind I thought it would be a nice change to use these with a technique I was taught years ag, which since pro-markers seems to have been forgotten.  You need to do this with water based markers as they don't dry to quickly.   This is one time when alcohol markers wont work.

This is the effect

                                                           Can you see the feather's?
Let me give you a closer look.
The stamps used here are by Tim Holtz

So to achieve this effect what I did was.... Take the stamp you are using... I inked mine all over with distress ink Antique Linen, then taking a distress marker with the brush end.  Tap the pen over the stamp I used Broken China and Stormy Sky on here. keep tapping randomly,  then stamp the beauty of this is you never get the same effect twice.

Look at the different colours in the Darkroom Door Butterfly and you can see the effect in the Hobby Art Sketchy Flowers ..... Nice I think so ! The thank you is Visible Image .....just to show you you CAN combine your stamps and still get a really nice card.  Below are a few more samples.
