Sun Sea and Sand.

Hi Di Hi Lovely Peeps Well I hope you all saw Jenny on the telly today ...what did you think of the new set's?  I must say I did like these ...Don't know if you know....but we live in Plymouth. so the coast areas are home.... this was playing with scenes from my own back yard......all that's missing are the dogs and Rory!. The Harbour village set is just so like Devon and Cornwall xx All we need is Ross Poldark and the odd tin mine!

The Summer Holiday set with the seagull's is fun ideal for a summer birthday whatever the age....add a speech bubble to the gulls and you could do your own cheeky postcard !

The Shell set has a timelessness about it you can do a lot with this from decoupage....(Which I steer clear of as I hate cutting out and I'm not very good at it) to a simple sentiment and a few shells...it can be as easy or as complex as you like.  I liked the seahorses in this using distress inks to blend and build up the underwater scenes.I hope you liked these as much as I did this month .....

On a Nautical theme the new May Special the Habour set is a fab set to add to your collection,  The one above is called Seagulls I am a fan of the Cornish artists....and if you care to look online check out Brian Pollard....his style was the inspiration for this particular card....the new Monthly specials are a good buy at 8.99 for ONE month only . They then return to their normal price as the next special airs....

I hope you like my samples this month  I look forward to crafting with you all soon.

Create and Craft Birthday ....Jenny's on the telly again !

Hello Lovely Crafters ...oh what a rush this month with so many things happening here at home on a personal level and Easter with Rory glory home form college in the day my feet haven't touched the ground....I did manage at short notice to make five cards for hobby art which go live today ....I hope you like them the fist couple are a cute set with Donkeys now normally I do like donkeys however my Mother in law lives in France and has a HUGE Bodi de Poitou donkey they are very rare and I couldn't help thinking of Him ....His name is Marcillan as I was making these card's

                                                                 Dudley the Donkey

This is a photo  of the type of Donkey my In Laws have over in France .....But I digress....

We had Birds & Grasses too ....I did enjoy this set very realistically drawn I haven't really had the time to play with this much, but even for just the grasses its a great set ....the Birds which are beautiful are an added bonus .

The last set is the Bird Set ...not you average Hobby Art stamp but very funky and fun I can see this being used with LOTS of very different Backgrounds would be fun with Alcohol inks and shaving foam or the other take on that with old pot's of nail polish....fab backgrounds....even Gelli plates and inks so much I think this could be used for Just a little Note cards ...Get well ...Thinking of you... Just because I think it's so cheerful.....here is my offering using Brushos.

I hope you like them all I had great fun this month making them all and if you would like any of the stamps they are all from hobby art.....

Two more bits that are Hobby Art But Not on the TV are these .....The Lavender Set is our Monthly special I have had a quick play ....April Monthly Special - Lavender.

And a tag , because I couldn't wait to play .....:)

Toddler's and teddy's

I do like the Toddler Set we have been playing with this month.  It's very versatile.
Those who bought the Baby Set this time last year,  will maybe realize this is a year on and the babies are growing up. to go along side this we have a set of Teddy's One of which I have made into a door hanger with blue acrylic paint then gilded in Pirate Gold gilding flakes . I also used the Hobby Art Alphabet Set to stamp the words Rory's room. and used the same stamps for the ABC on the toddler card you see here.

So Teddy's and toddler's ......The other set we had was Horse's ....These are the Horse's at the bottom of Jenny's Garden ....lucky lady to live with such noble creatures ...even if they do come visiting on occasion .

Then we come to the April Monthly Special this month it's Lavender ....wherever I move to I HAVE to have this plant in my garden . This arrived Saturday and I couldn't wait to play. a quick tag that I think maybe made into a topper for a card what do you think?
I love it and at only 8.99 I think these monthly specials are such a good buy.
A quick note the little LOVE stamp is one of mine from my stash and not actually a Hobby Art stamp but the little tag needed something so this fitted nicely.

I hope you like what I have done ..not many this month but its been manic with Rory's Birthday and then my washing machine blew up so the days I had put aside to do DT work were spent mopping  the floor and drying the carpet out in the basement and then going to buy a new machine and all that catching up with the washing .....

I will make a few extra projects throughout the month showing the stamps in their glory till then Crafty Hugs xxxx

Good Morning lovely peeps.

Well it looks today as though spring may just be on the way ....Winter this year seems to have dragged on forever and I am ready for a bit of warmer weather and some sunshine.
The Stamps this month reflect this we have three lovely clear set, and two foam stamps all very useful for different reasons.  My first card is made with the new Allotment set from Hobby Art  using a Woodgrain Stencil made by Tim Holtz you can find it on the Hobby Art Website I frayed a bit of hessian and put that behind the image for a bit of extra interest.

Oh I did enjoy making this one it's a crossover card I added two packets of seed would be great for someone who likes to garden don't you think? I made this one with My Uncle Harold in mind ...bless him a few years ago he would have loved this alas old age comes to us all and he is now 92 , Love him loads but he is a little long in the tooth now days to be digging his garden.

The Hobby Art Allotment set
Woodgrain Stencil

This is a quick card which would be Ideal as a little notelet ....The Allotment set and Brighten your day set used again ....I could play forever with these you get it that I like them !!!!!

Lights & Lanterns
Next ....so many pretty lights here I thought they worked really well for invites ... below I used the bleeding tissue technique.

They work well for invites I thought using the lovely Alphabet set From Hobby Art.

Next are the two foam stamps Goosey Gander (Love that name
I have used this one with the other shed from the Allotment set just so you could see what it looked like
I actually thought it made a good Duck House!

Lastly we have the Floral Basket

Coloured with Aqua markers and using one of the Brighten My day sentiments .
